Who We Are
Conviction is an adult gaming community. We look for mature players with a sense of humor. If you are offended easily this will not be the place for you as we take trolling one another as a way to release the stresses of the gaming lifestyle. We are all avid gamers with great skill and look for the same in any new player we bring in. We expect everyone to have positive attitudes no matter the circumstance. We take losing as a learning experience, not a defeat.
Our guild is part of a greater core of gamers who believe that they are responsible to every member of every chapter. Keep in mind that while acceptance to a chapter is noteworthy, you will become a part of a community spanning several games and will have the opportunity to move forward with them in future charter projects.

If you want a friend to be invited to play in the guild and be a part of the community you need to ask yourself a few questions first:
1. Am I comfortable enough with their level of understanding of MMO's and the social dynamics that go along with that
2. Will there be any issues with the content of said social discussions ie: no holds barred kind of chat
3. Will this person be the cause of any drama
If you answered Yes, No, No to the above questions then its probably a reasonably good idea that you sponsor them joining.
If you Answered No to the first question then its probably not a good idea and will lead to embarrassment on all parts and no need to ask the next two questions
If you Answered Yes to the first question and then Yes to the next question you need to explain to them we have an open policy when it comes to chat and we do it as a release and not a reason to offend anyone and see how they feel.
If you Answered Yes to the third question then by all means give yourself a kick in the junk for even considering them being a part of the community
In all seriousness though, I think its important that we are able to play with friends and have always kept somewhat of an open door policy when it came to having friends in the guild.
Friends must understand that they do not have any raid rights or rights to gear over any other member or recruit, they are purely there to enjoy the social aspects of the guild. Of course when the time is right they may apply to become part of end game or the community but there is never any guarantee of acceptance. Consider yourself one of Convictions friends with benefits - we can hang out and have fun but we'll only sleep together on Convictions terms.
Also keep in mind we will not hesitate in removing a trouble maker.
Which game are you applying for?
